Principal, Alison Moore, cuts the ribbon to open Cox Mill Elementary’s Tree Trail

NEWEST TREE TRAIL:

Cox Mill Elementary takes place-based learning live at their school on National Arbor Day 2012!

Cox Mill Elementary school’s principal, Alison Moore, brought the Leaf Critters® – Celebrate Trees Program to life at her school. Many community partners were involved providing trees, soil, signage and curriculum. The children had fun and experienced the trail in late May and early June.

You can bring the field trip home to your site as well! Contact [email protected] to find out how to run the Leaf Critters® – Celebrate Trees Program in its entirety.

2nd grade teacher, Ms. Williams, and student explore the tree trail!

Foreground: colorful Leaf Critters signage highlights the Tuliptree in the background, “Making the trail so much more fun to walk around!”

EXPLORING THE TRAIL:

Fun and learning can be found on the trail. These second graders learned their trees with Buddy Redbud™, Pinen™, Tulie Poplar™, Oakster™, and Shuggie Maple™  leading the way.
